Occam's Razor is WWU's Undergraduate Academic Journal. As the Lead Designer from 2016-2017, I have had the opportunity to work with an incredible team of five designers.
PUBLICATION / MOTION GRAPHICS / PROMOTIONAL
BACKGROUND:
As an undergrad, what do you do with a ground-breaking paper and countless hours of research once grades are posted? Without Occam's Razor, some of WWU's most incredible research essays might never see the light of day. OR is the WWU journal by and for students with the purpose of providing undergraduates with a platform to publish their academic work. Being published can help students use their class work to further discussions of academia within the greater WWU community and stand out from other graduates in their field.
CONCEPT:
Our goal for Occam's Razor has been clear: to strategically showcase publication-worthy papers to share within the broader campus community. Through minimal, carefully-planned design, we aim to visually represent the quality and gravity of each student's phenomenal work and research.
CONTRIBUTIONS:
Layout + Cover Design
Grid / Template
Motion Graphics
Project Managment
Concept Development
Pre-Flight/ Production Logistics

Occam's Razor is annual and released each spring, but the design responsibilities are year-round and include promotional material such as posters and social media posts.
